Safety

Award-winning commitment.

Committed to safety

A Team Effort

To solidify our commitment to safety, we contract the services of a safety consultant to assist with site safety audits and training to ensure our workers are educated and trained to perform their jobs in the safest possible manner. Our consultant works along side our safety team to verify that all safety requirements are met and any needed changes are implemented. Our award-winning safety program is based on a zero accident tolerance that is embedded in the identity of the company and our employees. Weekly on-site safety meetings are held and attendance is required by all on-site personnel.

Employee Training

An important part of the Company’s safety philosophy is requiring our employees attend various industry training programs, including 30-Hour OSHA, 10-Hour OSHA, Confined Space and Competent Person Certifications. Our safety program provides mandatory random, pre-employment, and post-accident drug and alcohol screening.

We conduct mandatory training and refresher courses on a regular basis – for every employee.

Key Program Elements

Toolbox Talks

We require informal safety meetings led by the foreman that focus on workplace hazards and safe work practices. Meetings are normally short in duration and are generally conducted at the job site prior to the commencement of the days' work.

Job hazard analysis reports

We complete daily JHA's to identify the dangers of specific tasks in order to reduce the risk of injury to our workers. By identifying potential hazards before the work begins, we can reduce or eliminate them before anyone gets hurt.

Jobsite visits by Safety Auditor

Comprehensive jobsite safety audits are performed on a regular basis to inspect and analyze how each crew is performing in regard to their safety responsibilities. This is another demonstration of the importance we place on being safe.

Safety training & refresher courses

We conduct mandatory training and refresher courses on a regular basis, including 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA, Competent Person, Confined Space, Flagger, CPR, and more.

Equipment safety inspections

Our daily equipment inspections not only help to extend the life of our machines, but also help to find any potential safety concerns that could affect the operator and the crew.
